More on Knowing the Day and Hour

As a follow-up to my post  http://fulnessoftimes.blogspot.com/2017/07/no-man-knoweth-day-or-hour.html First, I am aware that the Prophet studied Hebrew, and others were taught it as well. If I remember right it was part of the instruction given in the School of the Prophets. However, he received even greater instruction and understanding through the Spirit and directly from the Lord. However, regarding a knowledge of Hebrew/Jewish metaphors, figures of speech etc. I don't think the Prophet had much knowledge of them in January or May of 1831, when sections 39 and 49 were recorded, and which both state that the day and hour "no man knoweth." This was a statement of fact--not a figure of speech--from the Lord, reinforcing what the Lord told his disciples, that no one at that present time knew when the Second Coming will be. As Joseph's knowledge and understanding grew, he learned that the day and hour will eventually be made known to the Lord's prophets, but a

No Man Knoweth the Day or the Hour

I've read a number of articles, opinions, discussions, etc. trying to cite and prove why or how we can know when the Lord will be coming. Most of the arguments center around the Lord teaching the Jews using Hebrew metaphors, sayings, figures of speech, etc. Somehow all this can support the idea that the actual day and hour of the Second Coming can be known. I find one serious fault with these arguments. They only take into account the teachings (scriptures) found in the Old and New Testaments. They neglect latter-day revelation. I'm fairly certain the Lord was not using Hebrewisms when he was teaching Joseph Smith. He used the language the Prophet and the Saints could understand, and it is fairly clear what is said. In Doctrine and Covenants 39: 19-21, we read: 19 Wherefore, go forth, crying with a loud voice, saying: The kingdom of heaven is at hand; crying: Hosanna! blessed be the name of the Most High God. 20 Go forth baptizing with water, preparing the way before

Follow-up to "A Bunch of Small Tremors in Bluffdale"

Here's a follow-up to  http://fulnessoftimes.blogspot.com/2017/06/a-bunch-of-small-tremors-in-bluffdale.html . I was going to just add it as an update to that post, but figured it's been more than a few days and it should probably just be a new post. --- A second tremor on June 28 in the Bluffdale area, this one only a magnitude 1.1. Two small ones, a 0.5 and a 0.8, on July 1. And a 1.6 on  July 2. A 30 day history of the area shows 26 tremors since June 20, nothing prior to that date. The history since June 5, 2010, shows 28 tremors in the area, with the oldest two happening in November 2016. Going back to the year 2000 shows the same 28. I did the same search back to the year 1900. And got the same results, only 28 earthquakes in the area. I triple-checked the search to make sure I was getting it right. As a side note, I don't think the USGS had much in the way of sensors for the smaller quakes in Utah prior to the early 1970's. My reasoning is the
