 If you've read many of my posts you'll know I'm not anti-vax. But I have become extremely cautious with vaccines in the last few years as I've learned more about the pharmaceutical industry and how much money goes into it. It's also been a little concerning how quickly and eagerly most in the medical profession accept what is told to them by the industry. Here's what I was reading this morning in Nature --  The tangled history of mRNA vaccines The mRNA experiments in the late 1980's were the foundation to the COVID vaccines of today.  On September 15, 2021, the CDC updated its page  COVID-19 Vaccine Breakthrough Case Investigation and Reporting . At first glance it seems the normal pro-vaccination propaganda that's being pushed through the media and politicians, and all those who subscribe to that message. Since about March 2020 we've heard how COVID-19 can show symptoms up to 14 days after exposure, so this particular statement seems to be in line with that: "For the purpose of this surveillance, a vaccine breakthrough infection is defined as the detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA or antigen in a respiratory specimen collected from a person ≥14 days after they have completed all recommended doses of a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-authorized COVID-19 vaccine." Basically, to the CDC, you're not fully vaccinated until it's been at least 14 days since you've received your final administration of the vaccine, which in most cases is the second vaccination. The speakers at Church yesterday talked about following the prophet. Thankfully neither brought up the vaccination subject. A letter from the First Presidency doesn't mean the letter's content is doctrinal or revelatory.  Back on 7 June 2021 the First Presidency announced changes to general conference that discontinued the Saturday evening sessions . That stirred things up. Was it revelation? Some thought it was because it came from the First Presidency.  However, on July 27, Saturday evening sessions were reinstated . For those who thought the first announcement was prophetic revelation this reversal seems contradictory. Every year there are other letters from the First Presidency which are not revelation. Often they are general counsel, such as to exercise your right to vote, or stating some policy update or change.  About 3 weeks ago, on a Friday, my wife started feeling a little under the weather. If I remember right it was a headache. She gets migraines about every month but she said this was different. And she was feeling tired and congested.  That day also happened to be when our area got completely blanketed with lots of smoke from out-of-state wildfires. Even when we went up another 1500 feet in elevation the smoke was still bad. She was ill that weekend, as was a daughter who was mostly fighting an ear infection, though she also had a few other symptoms that we attributed to the body fighting the infection. I made the mistake of staying up late that night and the next night. I indulged and was playing some video games. I play some video games once or twice a week and end up staying up late once or twice a month.  First, and this may cause some people's defense to shoot up, I am not anti-vaccine. In fact, I believe the concept, the theory, behind vaccines is sound.  But, there are a couple of issues that give me pause with regards to vaccines. First, I have no desire to be a part of massive experimental vaccine trial. So, I have no intention of getting an COVID vaccine (not to mention I recently had COVID). No vaccine is proven to be 100% effective nor is any guaranteed to be 100% safe. If you happen to be one of the few unlucky ones to get a reaction you have no recourse against the manufacturer. Or your doctor. Vaccine manufacturers may claim vaccines are not money makers. Maybe. But when does a for-profit company do something out of completely good will, especially when it costs them millions of dollars? Did you forget the government is paying vaccine manufacturers? What about insurance companies? The truth is there is a ton of money involved, it's just that the public doesn't se...

 We are supposed to be free. We are supposed to be guaranteed our Constitutional liberties and rights. But that is changing. A big "IF" is coming... Besides the various infringements, regulations, and restrictions that whittle away our liberties and rights-- often in the name of safety, protection, or security--there is another threat. It's coming... It won't be long before you will only be allowed to exercise all (or what's left) of your Constitutional freedoms that revolve around your life, liberty, and pursuit of Happiness if you have proof you have the COVID vaccine. It doesn't matter if you actually had COVID. In the minds of those in charge, those who think and believe they know better than you, having the actual disease is inferior to having the vaccine.
