 Here's the threat, which most people (especially Liberals/Democrats but also many independents, moderates, many Republicans and even some conservatives) don't recognize or refuse to believe. There's  reason the Founding Fathers were guided to put the right to keep and bear arms as the Second Amendment, right after the First Amendment that protects the right of free speech and religion. The reason is we must ensure the protection of all of our rights, especially the right/liberty of free speech and the freedom of religion. We cannot trust others, especially those in any position of power or authority (particularly if they are "career" politicians) to protect our rights, our liberties. Seems like every Monday CNN is making sure to include stories about all the mass shootings that have been happening this year. 296 mass shootings (so far) this year. 334 people killed. 1,235 people injured. I can't remember the percentage the news anchor and reporter quoted. I think one said mass shootings were up 39% compared to this time last year and the other said it was up 37%. In any case, mass shooting are up this year...and what happened at the beginning of this year? Yep, a Democrat president got into the White House and the Democrats retained majority in the House and got control of the Senate. But, since we're looking at CNN's report, let's skip the obvious fact that President Biden was sworn in at the beginning of the year and immediately began an avalanche of executive orders to undo everything he could that Trump did.  Oh, the hypocrisy.  How many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints cite "Follow the Prophet" when it meets their needs or justifies their actions, but then ignore other statements and actions of the prophet? And it's not just members of the Church. Most people justify their actions because someone else did it, but when you call them on not doing the other things that same person did, they just stare blankly, ignore you, or rationalize some reason. It seems to start as children. We use others an excuse for why we did or did not do something.  "Why did you hit your sister?" "She hit me first." But, it rarely goes the other way. "I am nice and kind to my sister because that is how I want her to treat me."  Despite the claims of "proof" that vaccines are safe, the truth is no vaccine is 100% safe.  Even all foods aren't 100% safe for all people. People die from allergic reactions to food and reactions to vaccines. I am not an anti-vaxxer. I understand and appreciate the concept of vaccination. But vaccinations have changed over the years. Big Pharma is all about profit and satisfying shareholders. It's become quite scary how many vaccines are pushed, especially before a child's immune system is fully developed. Think about that. Maybe it sounds okay, to give a vaccine to someone whose immune system isn't at full capacity. Maybe the logic is the vaccine will give the body a boost towards immunity. Seriously? I think it's more likely to overwhelm the underdeveloped immune system and make it try to work harder. Giving vaccines to older children (older than 2 years) makes more sense because then the immune system is more likely to actually work the way its suppo

In a previous post I pointed out how abortion is propaganda. The left frames abortion as a "woman's right" as "pro-choice." They will vilify anti-abortion efforts as being against women's rights and freedom to do with their body as they choose. They accuse anti-abortion efforts as being against freedom and choice. On the other side, anti-abortionists want to look like they are on the right side by appealing to "pro-life." Their attack on abortion is primarily along the lines that abortion is against life and against the choice of the unborn child. So which side is right? What's the truth? If the "truth" has to be painted behind nice-sounding, positive, feel-good words and phrases then you need to dig deeper. Remember: a pig with lipstick is still a pig, no matter how prettied up it is. Sure, you want truth to be appealing and acceptable. But look for truth by un-adorning the "facts" being presented. Yesterday I posted some thoughts on voter legislation that is trying to be pushed through Congress. This morning CNN was pontificating about the evils of GOP voter laws that were passed after the 2020 election. Which sounds better to you? Protections or restrictions. If you're like most people, you want protections and you want restrictions imposed on those who threaten you in any way.  The liberal media describes any voter legislation that they don't like as "voter restrictions". And the same media describes voter legislation that they do like as "voter protections." It's all about how to market it, to make it more or less appealing to the population. In the simplest sense it's propaganda.  Most people don't realize it but politicians and the media (mostly liberal media, but it also happens on the right side of the political spectrum) are very careful in their word choices.  Here's the question: Who should be allowed to vote for U.S. Senators and members of Congress in the House of Representatives? Should foreigners get to vote in United States elections? For the past several years there's been a constant, unrelenting pounding of the drum by Democrats and Liberals about Russian or Chinese or other influence in U.S. elections. So, if you are concerned about foreign influence swaying the election, wouldn't you want to also make sure so don't have any foreigners actually voting in the election? To a reasonable person, it makes sense that U.S. citizens should vote for their U.S. Senators and Representatives. Foreigners should not be allowed or permitted in any way to actually vote. Doesn't that make sense? So how do you make sure foreigners are not voting for your senators and representatives and even the president? Simple. You only allow citizens to vote. And, that means if you want to vote you should be required by law to prove you are a
