Another Cat 5 hurricane

Hurricane Maria is a category 5 storm. Currently it's projected to clip the Dominican Republic, go by the Bahamas, and miss Floriday, but possibly strike the US coast further north.

Hurricane Jose, just a category 1 storm, is currently churning up waves along the eastern seaboard.

While it may seem unrelated, Thursday or Friday a big sunspot group will be just turning onto the earth-facing side of the sun. It will take a few more days for it to directly face earth.

Why is this relevant? Because this is the same sunspot group that created some big x-class flares a couple weeks ago. These flares apparently have an intensifying effect on storms (such as hurricanes), and can cause them to move westward (I'm not sure why).

Jose will be east of New York, out in the ocean by the end of the week. Or, at least what is projected to be left of it.

Miami was mostly spared by Irma, at least spared from what could have happened. Looks like Miami will avoid Maria as well, unless a westward track happens sooner than Saturday, which is when it's projected to be heading north.

A hurricane (Harvey), 8.1 earthquake south of Mexico, another hurricane (Irma), today another earthquake, and there is a hurricane (Maria) already devastating islands and heading (possibly) to the US coastline.

Will another big earthquake strike North America next week? That seems to be the pattern for now.
