Looking Forward to Some Cooler Weather
Here comes a little taste of early spring.

I'm not saying that this is the cold front that comes in before the first big Utah earthquake. But it is unusual. According to Julie, the cold front that hits would actually be unexpected, and it come in overnight and drop some snow. That doesn't quite fit what is coming, since it seems to be an expected cold front, although snow in the valleys isn't in the forecast.

I've only listened to the first podcast. Julie very clearly states that she has never been given a date for the first earthquake, only that it's "soon," "imminent," and "around the corner." Interestingly she said she doesn't think the really big earthquake (not the first, Wasatch wake-up quake) would not happen any sooner than fall 2018. NOTE: she does NOT say that it will happen then, only that she doesn't think it will be any sooner.
She said she is often given dates and times for things she sees, but not for these earthquakes. After she said that the thought came to me that the reason is because there is no definite date set. When she sees or is told a date/time it is for an event that affects her, and has little dependency on others. These earthquakes will affect millions and the timing is dependent on the wickedness of the people. I've had other posts where I've discussed this.
Back to the forecast.
What I really want to point out is these uncommon, rare, out-of-season, etc. weather events are happening more frequently. It is due to climate change, although not caused by "global warming." And the climate change is--despite what the politicians, many scientists, and over-zealous environmental activists want you to believe--not primarily caused by humans. We have an effect, and we do cause an enormous amount of pollution, but the actual changing of the climate is a natural occurrence, seemingly affected by solar influences, such as the possible grand solar minimum that may be coming. And, who knows, maybe polar magnetic changes have an effect as well.
Because these out-of-season occurrences will be more common, it is important that we do not become complacent and chalk it all up to "global warming" or climate change or whatever else that comes along. If we do become complacent, we risk missing the signs and will be surprised when something like an earthquake happens.
Personally, I'm not expecting an earthquake, but I am taking this opportunity to, once again, reevaluate some of our preparations and to do a little more earthquake preparation. And if an earthquake hits, I'll be a little more ready for it. If it doesn't strike, then I can still plan to do a few more earthquake preparedness presentations.
