The Final Jubilee Period?

In relation to the dreams and visions which seem to be more prevalent since about 2008... Maybe it coincides with what might be the final Jubilee cycle before the Second Coming. John Pratt's research indicates that Sep 2008 - Sep 2009 was likely the 70th Jubilee since the Israelites went into the promised land. According to Pratt, there is Jubilee calendar and there is a little period of time called the "burning" before the seventh period. He believes we could be in that time, right before the seventh millennial Jubilee. "The grouping of jubilees into larger units is not totally understood at this time. It currently appears that there is a unit which could be called a Grand Jubilee, which would be composed of 7 jubilees, or 7x7x7 = 343 years. If so, then 2009 marks 10 Grand Jubilees from 1422 BC, so that makes it more rare than just any jubilee. Moreover, the next larger grouping appears to be what could be called the Millennial Jubilee comprising 3 Grand Ju...

Some More Musings on a Gathering

Besides Julie Rowe and Hector Sosa, there are others who have had dreams and visions of the last days, specifically with an invitation to gather, which many refer to as the call-out. I find it interesting that more of these dreams and visions have been made known since about 2007/8. Yes, there were some published before, but there are more now. Maybe it's the prevalence of the internet, making it easier to find information (both right and wrong).  I read another account of the invitation to gather, the person being referred to as the "Temple Dreamer." The dream was apparently had in 2007, and many of the posts in the LDSFreedomForum were dated in 2008. The summary of the various dreams seem to be combined in this post: http://woodyoubelieveit.blogspot.com/2017/06/the-temple-dreamer-after-collapse.html But you can also find the dreams posted in: http://www.ldsfreedomforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=4076 There are parts of the Temple Dreamers account that do...

Medical Marijuana in Utah

This article came out yesterday, LDS Church weighs in on medical marijuana ballot initiative in Utah http://fox13now.com/2017/06/27/lds-church-weighs-in-on-medical-marijuana-ballot-initiative-in-utah/ I had heard some rumblings, but I was guessing medical marijuana might be legalized by the state legislature in 2018. With this year's bill to authorize further research into medical marijuana, to assess potential benefits and risks to legalizing medical marijuana, it was sufficient for most legislators to show the public they are looking into it. But it's not enough for many. And, apparently, there are some who don't think medical marijuana will get a vote by the state's legislature in 2018, so the push is to get it on the ballot so the voters can decide. The Church was very diplomatic in their statement, part of which states: "The difficulties of attempting to legalize a drug at the state level that is illegal under Federal law cannot be overstated. ...

A Bunch of Small Tremors in Bluffdale

Image
In the last couple years that I've been somewhat regularly (at least 4 times a week) reviewing the USGS website for earthquake activity, https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/, I haven't seen this much activity in a single location in the Salt Lake valley: 19 smallish quakes in the Bluffdale area. I first noticed a smallish tremor reported last Wednesday (June 21), only a 1.4. This is too small for most people to even notice, and even the relatively few who might feel it, would question whether they actually felt it. (see the Wikipedia article for table of magnitudes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richter_magnitude_scale) The day before there were three small tremors in the Heber City area, and one near East Carbon City. But near Bluffdale, there have been 19 tremors between June 21 and the morning of June 27, ranging from magnitude 0.8 to 2.1. I am not an earthquake expert, and while I don't think this is a sign of an immediate, impending large earthquake...

A Convergence Line and Some (minor) Quakes

Image
A few days ago (June 18), I saw this daily news from Suspicious Observers. Since I mentioned convergence lines in my previous post, I thought I'd provide one reference. The quakes that resulted were minor, but it's still very interesting to see. Ben's mention of the convergence line begins at 1:18. https://youtu.be/O6Zf7kKeqMM?t=78 Here's what is said at the 1:18 time: "In most parts of the ring of fire, a strong convergence of wind past the main rain lines would make a quake watch. Not usually a factor in the continental US, but this convergence line cutting across the state lines of New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, and into California…well, took the Oklahoma uptick that had been under way and jumped it in sequential order, westward along that exact same line."

Regarding Earthquakes

I posted the following in Hector Sosa's web forum, http://achangeiscomingbook.com/forums/forumid/7/postid/276/scope/posts#276, and I thought I'd post it here as well. -- In case there is any question, I have never cited Julie, or Hector, or anyone else as a sole source that a big earthquake is going to strike Utah, particularly along the Wasatch Fault. As for dreams and visions of earthquakes in Utah, they are also not the only sources. I've read many reports, articles, and other scientifically valid sources that very clearly state the Wasatch Fault is overdue for a big earthquake. FEMA has even performed several earthquake scenario analysis for earthquakes along the Wasatch Front, with the most recent being for a 7.0 along the Salt Lake segment (which is not a worst case). The loss estimations are staggering, especially when compared to countries that are more earthquake ready (such as Japan or Chile). Despite the preparedness culture, Utah is not prepared for a big...

The Voice of the People

Yesterday I was reading Mosiah 29, where King Mosiah writes to convince his people to have judges instead of kings. First, in verse 25 they were to elect their judges "by the voice" of the people. "25 Therefore, choose you by the voice of this people, judges, that ye may be judged according to the claws which have been given you by our fathers, which are correct, and which were given them by the hand of the Lord." It's clear that "the voice of the people" must refer to the majority, because in verse 26 implies there's a difference between "the voice of the people" and the "lesser part of the people." "26 Now it is not common that the voice of the people desireth anything contrary to that which is right; but it is common for the lesser part of the people to desire that which is not right; therefore this shall ye observe and make it your law—to do your business by the voice of the people." It seems like the Nep...

Food for thought

Image
Why should we grow our own food when we can conveniently and easily go to the store? Or, for some, just drop by a restaurant to eat out? Personally I think that learning to grow, harvest, and store our own food are valuable skills--skills which I lack, but I'm trying to learn. I believe these skill will likely become critical in the near future because they will likely become essential skills to survival. The fact is many modern day prophets have counseled the saints to have their own gardens. It is certainly part of becoming self sufficient, and it can help when a family passes through more challenging times. But there is another reality. We are seeing the Lord's warning in Doctrine and Covenants section 89 verse 4 come to pass on multiple fronts. "Behold, verily, thus saith the Lord unto you: In consequence of evils and designs which do and will exist in the hearts of conspiring men in the last days, I have warned you, and forewarn you, by giving unto you this wo...

Follow-up to the Cooler Weather and Musings About the Coming Earthquakes

As a follow-up to last week's post, http://fulnessoftimes.blogspot.com/2017/06/looking-forward-to-some-cooler-weather.html We, those of us along the Wasatch Front, are, once again, headed back towards higher-than-normal temperatures. Mid-to-high nineties for Monday to Wednesday. If you watch the various weather reports you will notice there is much greater emphasis placed on the heat, often record heat. However, many places have also experienced record lows and colder temperature, as was experienced this past weekend. I've always preferred the cooler weather. If you're cold, you can always put more clothes, coats, blankets, etc. on. Heat, on the other hand, well...common decency and modesty (which should apply to men as well as women) should indicate there are limits to how much people should take off and expose. Of course, there are those, and an increasing number of those, who don't think anything of that. And it's much harder to get sun-burned when you...

Looking Forward to Some Cooler Weather

Here comes a little taste of early spring. "Out-of-season cold blast to yield June mountain snow for western US"  http://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/out-of-season-cold-blast-to-yield-june-mountain-snow-for-western-us/70001882 I'm not saying that this is the cold front that comes in before the first big Utah earthquake. But it is unusual. According to Julie, the cold front that hits would actually be unexpected, and it come in overnight and drop some snow. That doesn't quite fit what is coming, since it seems to be an expected cold front, although snow in the valleys isn't in the forecast. For those who are interested, or curious, Julie has some podcasts linked from her website, or you can find them on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiFpUNCj8jQrrMJhKrNIHybIOtuWOUyFL.  I've only listened to the first podcast. Julie very clearly states that she has never been given a date for the first earthquake, only that it's "soon...

More Info on Scouting and the Church

In case it hasn't been clear, I am including these posts regarding Scouting and the LDS Church because I see this as a potential sign that more perilous and trying times are coming for members of the Church. I think it is very likely that the Church may have completely withdrawn from Scouting before a great gathering invitation might happen. In any case, a full withdrawal will increase persecution towards the Church, as many will see it as a move against the LGBTQ+ community. Here is a link to the response from the BSA regarding the LDS Church no longer using the Varsity and Venturing programs http://voiceofscouting.org/bsa-response-lds-varsity-venturing While the response is very understanding, it is interesting to look at the numbers. The BSA serves 2.3 million youth each year. In the Church, there are apparently about 330,000 youth in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. About 180,000 are currently in the Varsity and Venturing programs. 180,000 is 7.8% of the membership, and t...

Pride Goeth Before the Fall

Image
Sunday evening I had the thought the look at KSL.com, and the top story was the pride parade that happened that day. "Tens of thousands celebrate diversity at Utah Pride Parade downtown" http://www.ksl.com/?sid=44513426&nid=148 "Pride parade attendees feel sense of urgency to ‘elevate’ the LGBTQ conversation" http://www.sltrib.com/news/5357078-155/pride-parade-attendees-feel-sense-of?fullpage=1 I didn't realize SLC has being having this parade for 42 years. I suppose it's probably because it has only been over the last decade that the anti-traditional-family movement has really gathered steam and pushed their agenda more strongly. The KSL report stated "more than 50,000" participated in the event on Sunday, although the SL police estimated between 35,000 and 40,000 attended the parade. On Sunday?! That is really what stood out to me, that these people, including many members of the LDS Church, would hold and attend this event on ...

Will America Fall? Some More from John Koyle

In my previous post, http://fulnessoftimes.blogspot.com/2017/06/is-famine-coming.html, I mentioned John Koyle and some of the prophesies attributed to him regarding a time of drought/famine. Here's a couple of prophesies attributed to John Koyle which appear to be regarding a fall of America. "Koyle foresaw the Republican victory of 1928 but stated that the man riding the donkey would win in 1932 and continue to win, establishing an unprecedented record of successive victories at the pools. During this time the elephant would become sick and unable to regain its feet. One attempt after another would be made until eventually, after many years, the elephant would rise to its feet and remain on them for a number of years, but would then go down and the country with it. There would then follow an unprecedented period of war, confusion, turmoil, and national disaster." "War would be brought to our coast line, but we would not be invaded at this time. However, a Russi...
